This vintage Sunday news magazine is in that era when Sunday newspapers had these lovely magazine inserts and today not many are available, since the Sunday newspaper was normally read and then thrown out, along with the magazine inserts. Fortunately, some have been saved and are usually hard to find or rare.

Within these pages there were a variety of articles and pictorial articles on so many topics such as history, celebrities, fashion, food/recipes, entertainment, locations, sports, ads popular in the year of publication, advice, and more.

As to condition, I will elaborate. I only sell vintage magazines or other paper memorabilia that have good paper smell. This is very important to me and to many other collectors. This issue along with many others I obtained were in a large museum binder so there are 2 binder holes in the left side but they do not greatly detract from the entirety of the magazine, as they are barely noticed and do not interfere with the reading of the contents and the cover could still be considered frameable as there is often more damage to these thin issue magazines than you will ever find in the ones I sell. The interior pages are clean including an unworked crossword puzzle. For a magazine over a half century old, you will likely find none better. I want all my buyers to be very pleased with these special items so even though I do not do returns, I want to hear from you if you are truly not pleased.

Before ending this listing, I want to mention some of the contents: There is a brief bio on Ms. Dolores Hart. She was a very popular actress in 1959 and was in movies with the big names of the day like Elvis Presley. A note that is not in the issue but which I came to know over the years of following her, Ms. Hart became a nun and left the motion picture world. Lots of fascinating history on her life and the fiancé that she left when she became a nun and his lasting love for her until the day he died. Some other things of interest in this magazine are a pictorial article on cowboy movie star Bob Horton; "Hollywood's New Babies" with color pictures of Jayne Mansfield with her baby son; Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh with their children Kathy Lee and Jamie; and Kirk Douglas and wife with 2 baby sons; and much more things of interest.
