SCROLL DOWN FOR MUSIC
Sayaka Alessandra is one of my favorite people--as is her delightful mother. About a year ago (August 23, 2011) I first featured Sayaka on my blog topic with permission from her and her delightful and talented mother. It runs in their family. Sayaka has one of those smiles that light up a room and I think we could all use some smiles this Tuesday. If I ever had a daughter of my own, I would want her to be just like Sayaka--warm, friendly, sweet, talented, cute as a button, charm a'plenty...and the list could go on. Her mother has every right to be very proud of this young lady. It gives me pleasure to feature her here at least once yearly. Sayaka sings so many of the American Bandstand era songs, but that's not her only genre. One of my favorites by her is "Dream Lover"--that fantastic Bobby Darin hit, but for fun today I have added "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"--a Brian Hyland Hit. And I think for good measure, I'll add her version of the Clovers "Love Potion #9"...as Halloween is just around the corner and some are thinking of potions and witches' brew. Personally, I am more in to the harvest aspect of October than I am to Halloween haunts...but I want to be inclusive.
HAVE A SMILING KIND OF DAY...until we meet here again... Oh, before I go, is there an Early American Bandstand song you would like to hear Sayaka perform?
