AB Friendships...
July 2, 2012 @ 5:05 PM
This picture of AB Regulars Arlene Di Pietro and Frank Brancaccio was taken in December 1960. Not only were they friends but they are shown here with "man's best friend" which I believe may well have been Pat Molittieri's little dog which she wrote about quite a bit in the magazines back in the day and also fan club materials. The Regulars often got together at each other's homes and some of these pictures will fit right in with the fan club writings already on my website. This picture is courtesy Bonnie Baker's scrapbook and I will be having still more pictures from her to add very soon, so stay tuned. And another surprise is a friend of Bonnie Baker's is starting to send a series of fan club materials to me for all of you to enjoy. I will be adding them as they arrive and a couple of things arrived yesterday. They will be rare, as were many of Bonnie's pictures. Terry's fan club materials will be going to the Fan Club Materials pages and I'll also create a separate page for Terry's collection, as I believe it will include photos and writings. I feel really blessed to have had such good people send me their collections to share with all of you.

It is great that someone like you can keep these wonderful people from AB going and keeping them alive. Wish I knew more about them and where they are and how they are doing.

Hello Jerry...thank you for the nice comment. I do try to keep the early AB experience going and keeping the memories alive. When I was first looking for information on the WEB around 1996, there was hardly anything. I continued through the next few years to search the WEB about early AB and there just was little to nothing. By 2004, I felt it was time to try to add as much as I could. I wasn't sure how many people out there were also interested, but now I know!--& the WEB has more info!

dear marsha,
i agree with dick's comment. your website demonstrates a lot of time and a real
love of the bandstand regulars. i visit the site frequently.
i am trying to remember where i saw that barbara levick wanted to avoid the spotlight.
such a shame. she was such a cutie with a big smile. i hope that she is healthy
and happy. please keep up the good work on your site. cathy johnson

Cathy, thank you for your comment here. I hope you will always find something new, interesting, and fun at the Early AB Tribute. I am so happy that Dick Clark was able to see my website and enjoy it in the years before he passed. He is missed. As to Barb Levick, I have not heard specifically that she shuns the spotlight, but I do wish we would hear from her. I have lovely memories of watching her on the show.
